Bird excrement cleaning, of any quantity, needs to be completed with a great deal of care due to the high levels of disease present. We carry out all types of cleaning, to any buildings that are susceptible to roosting and nesting birds. This ranges from social or domestic housing, office blocks, industrial units, retail and warehousing and many more.
Not only can bird presence cause serious risk to health due to inhalation or human slippage, but due to its acidic nature, can result in costly erosion to buildings and roofs. Bird guano can also stop routine maintenance of essential equipment due to nesting, which can cause various building issues, safe passage of fire exits or clogging up ventilation systems in office blocks.
Some of the risks of pigeon guano which could lead to the following diseases include:
• Cryptococcosis: A fungal disease associated with bird droppings.
• Histoplasmosis: Caused by a fungus which grows in pigeon guano.
• Psittacosis: An infection caused by a type of bacteria found in dry bird droppings.
• Salmonella: A bacteria found in some guano.
An experienced surveyor will carry out a free detailed site survey of your issue and complete a report outlining the issues faced. On acceptance, our trained technicians will attend site at a convenient time to carry out excrement and nesting debris removal, which will be bagged up and removed from site. If high level access equipment or bespoke equipment is required to carry out works, this will be highlighted on the site survey and arranged prior to attendance.
Once areas are cleaned of nesting materials and excrement, a disinfectant treatment will be carried out to remove all traces of bacteria and fungus. As you do not want birds to return to nest, we will offer a variety of tried and tested bird proofing and control measures to ensure your property is free of bird activity and clean.
