Pest Control Technician, South Wales

The role
You will be out on the road every day, dealing with pest problems for homeowners, landlords, letting agents and commercial customers across South Wales. Rats, mice, wasps, bed bugs, insects and birds, in homes, rental properties, restaurants, warehouses and offices.
This is not just a treatment job. A big part of what we do is finding the cause and closing it: proofing airbricks and pipe gaps, inspecting drainage chambers, fitting rat blockers and repairing the defects that let pests in. You will learn the whole job, from the first inspection to the final sign-off.
What you will be doing
- Carrying out pest inspections, treatments and follow-up visits at domestic and commercial properties
- Identifying the source of an infestation and recommending the right proofing or repair work
- Fitting proofing, including rat blockers to drainage inlets and sealing entry points
- Completing clear, accurate job reports and photos on your phone
- Advising customers on prevention and answering their questions plainly and honestly
- Keeping your van, equipment and stock in good order
- Working safely and to NPTA standards, including the correct use and recording of rodenticides
What we are looking for
- Based in South Wales with a full, clean UK driving licence
- Practical and hands-on. Experience in pest control, drainage, property maintenance or a trade is a real advantage
- Comfortable working alone and managing your own day
- Good with people. You will be in customers' homes and businesses, often when they are stressed
- Physically fit. The job involves lofts, crawl spaces, ladders and lifting chamber covers
- RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management is desirable. If you do not have it, we will train you and support you through it
- Honest, punctual and tidy in your work

Eligibility
You must already have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position, and we can only consider applicants who live in, or can commute daily within, South Wales. Applications that do not meet these requirements will not receive a reply.
